The fishing was awesome!!! I fly fished and had success using an olive colored bead head woolly bugger, Christmas leach, and a pheasant tailed nymph dropper. Me and the friends I went with had the most success with the Christmas leach, which is just a red and green leach pattern. I worked so well that i was able to catch fish on it even when it was completely torn apart and there was no more hackle on it. As far as spin rods go, I heard people doing really well with spinners and people seemed to be doing really well bait fishing as well. Henry's lake is amazing when it comes to fishing. Waking up to go fishing early morning at henry's lake is like waking up to the smell of mommy's fresh homemade cinnamon rolls on a saturday morning. there isn't a lot of things better than that!!! Henry's lake, what a blessed place!
