The last day I noticed that the fish were rolling on top and it looked like they were chasing fish and not hitting flies on top of the water. I decided to pull out the fly rod. I tried a fly that is suppose to look like a tiny dead fish that sits on top of the water with no luck. I also tried a while clouser minnow and got nothing. I then tried a white zonker type streamer. This was the money maker. I had 4 bites in 5 - 10 minutes and caught 2 decent fish (should have had 4). I wish I had pulled out my fly rod two days earlier!

Lake Almanor (Hamilton Branch)

https://www.maxsflyfishing.com/lake-almanor-california/first-post

https://www.maxsflyfishing.com/lake-almanor-california/first-post#comments

Uncategorized

This summer I did a lot of fishing in Lake Almanor and had some pretty good success.
